どこかへ行かないともったいない秋晴れ。 早々と洗濯を済ませて、谷中ぎんざへスケッチに行ってみました。 通りかかったオジサン「あんたプロ？こういうのテレビで見たよ。テレビに出てる人じゃないの？」とか言われました。 「違います。」 色つけは何時になることやら。

Went to see the University of Tokyo a while ago, drew a sketch. I like the buildings, made of red bricks! Some of them remain in Yokohama too. There are some of them in my hometown of Nizhniy Novgorod, and I was always attracted to see these buildings.   Some of them was made for soldiers, some for making alcohol. They have a fabulous time charm on them, I feel. By the way, there is also a   red brick building in Chiba Prefecture, in Ichikawa town, on the bank of Edo river. This Saturday you can see it. 赤レンガが大好きです。だから、東京大学へ見に行きました。 ステキな建物ですね。次の時は横浜の赤レンガへ行きたいです。 私の出身町ではこのような建物もあります。 兵舎 、 ワイン工場 、住宅の建物です。 憧れているのは素晴らしい時間の魅力を持っているからです。 ちなみに、千葉県にも赤レンガの建物があります。 市川市に残る赤レンガの建造物 今週の土曜日、29日、見ることできますよ。行きたい人は連絡をください！ 東大↓

I went to Shinjuku Odakyu department store on 12th floor in the evening and captured night view. Patricia, Atsuko, Eriko and Mr. Honma also joined me. We had challenged such a crazy, stressful yet fun subject: drawing night view through the window with a lot of obstacle reflection lights from behind and from the bottom as well... With poor vision we use our guess and common sense to complete. It was like playing a new game: searching for better way to tackle night impression seen through the window in the dark / full of reflections. Manchesterでのsymposiumにも参加していたドイツから来たCorinnaさんが東京にいる間に会いましょうということで、また表参道でスケッチ会しました。 お寺は静かでのんびりと描けるのですが、構造が複雑なので結局省略方式な描き方で攻略。その後、敦子さんも加わって、喫茶店にてportrait battle。 Corinna from Germany who I met at Manchester symposium last July was visiting Japan. She and I went to sketch Zenkoji temple in Omotesando, Tokyo. Sketching temple is ideal since the location is serene and there were no crowd to obstruct our view, however, the structure is so complicated and full of details, I simplified the image to capture the ambience before I really got tired. Later Asuko Maruyama joined us, we went to a cafeteria and had portrait battle over the tea/ Maccha drink.

この間に 21世紀の森と広場 に行って来ました。とてもいい場所ですね。森、水、田んぼ：里山の風景がでてきます。　外はどんどん寒くなります。スケッチをやりたいなら、暖かい服、お茶、準備はしないといけない。この時とても寒かったから、植物を拾い上げてすぐ帰りました。あとでゆっくりこの 21世紀の森と広場 へ何回も行きたいと思っています。 Collected some plants in the park close to Matsudo. Easy sketch of them.

Jazz concert in Chiba University, Graduate school of Horticulture.  It was difficult for me to draw musicians at work. Moreover, many people around and public atmosphere can make me a little nervous too. I really admire sketchers, who draw "live" on the concerts! 

9月24-25日松戸市、岩瀬祭り 地域人はさんま、えどまめ、生ビルを売っている。。。 岩瀬のキャラはタヌキです。のぼりで書いてあるタヌキの顔です。 枝豆が売りながらこのスケッチをしました。 Autumn Festival in the local community Iwase in Matsudo city.

青春18きっぷの消化のため、浜松方面に日帰りスケッチ旅。久しぶりに鳥の声を聞きながら、田園風景をスケッチしました。                                                                                            川の中に鷺がいる。   稲穂が実る黄金色の中を郵便局の車が行く。 心安らぐ風景。

知人の個展を観に行ったついでにスケッチ。ここのところ仕事が忙しいのと雨続きでスケッチ休みがちだったけれど、やはり好きなことに集中できる時間はいいものです。赤城神社の階段の上から、行きかう人を目で追いながら、スケッチしました。

水彩画教室の会の有志の皆さんと一泊でスケッチ旅行に新松田へ出かけました。台風が近づいていた中、いい天気に恵まれ富士山もくっきりと顔を出してくれ、存分に楽しんできました。 高台からの眺め 富士山がよく見えました。 パラレルペンというカリグラフィーペンを使ってみました。 大島も見えました。 同行者の宮原さん。喫茶店内にて。 夕飯はたっぷり。 翌日はAsahiビール工場にてスケッチ、工場見学、試飲を楽しみました。

Alice, Leonie, Steve, Eriko, and I met up and captured popular Harajyuku station in our sketches. This cute station will be demolished in the near future. We feel sorry that Dave from Munich was supposed to join us that day but we were not able to meet/ find each other... Maybe the meeting location was a bit too crowded by visitors.... Sorry Dave, I hope at least you had fun time during your stay in Tokyo ( except that day.)
