Matsudo ramen shop

Image
Hi! Day ago I went to see ramen shop in Matsudo, which is famous for "abura soba". It is called Tonikaku ramen. Someone told me, they are one of the best in Japan! Many tourists visit this place to eat ramen. I ate it, it was too big for me. But I liked fat noodles and oily taste.

Image

Last Saturday we had a Tokyo Sketchers meet up, initiated by request of Arnie from France and Alice from Indonesia and coordinated by Kumi Matsukawa.  Such a pleasure to draw in a company of co-thinkers! We did an architectural sketch in Ebisu Gardens and then moved to have a light dinner and talk. Windy weather!

Image

My sketch friend Asuka who lives in Australia came to Japan and we decided to meet and sketch together in Yebisu, Tokyo. Other sketch members from Tokyo team also joined us. Five of us went to ヱビスビール記念館(Museum of YEBISU BEER) there we learned about how and when beer introduced into Japan (They say that it was 124 years ago) and learned how to serve beer, the best way to drink. Meeting New Zealand sketcher Maki

Image
Tasha, a contributor of Uraban Sketchers Japan, and I met Maki, a New Zealand sketcher in Kamakura, Kanagawa prefecture the other day while she was visiting her home country. Unfortunately the day we met was raining. But three girls made the most of the day, enjoyed talking all the time, strolling the alley, finding miscellaneous goods in a shop, having lunch at a restaurant where they serve stewed organic vegetables that are known as prestigious “ Kamakura Yasai”(vegetables made in kamakura), and visiting shrine and temples, and of course sketching in the rain! Lunch sketches Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gū ( shrine) Our result from Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gū Temple gate I had really fun time. It was actually nice visiting old town in the rain. All the foliage and moss- covered stones were filled with thick foggy atmosphere, and that made the scene look dreamy and very Japanese in a way.
