Please check out the details below.  Facebookイベントページ / Facebook Event https://www.facebook.com/events/381064809106794/ --------------------------------------------- ［集合場所・時間］ 2/17(日) 11時 善国寺 毘沙門天 ［スケジュール］ 11時〜お昼頃：毘沙門天や神楽坂の路地裏などをスケッチ。 お昼：毘沙門天に再集合。よければ皆さんでお昼を食べましょう。 午後：引き続きスケッチされたい方は残ってスケッチ。オススメは路地裏の銭湯、熱海湯です。 [Meeting place, date and time] 11am on February 17 At Zenkoku-ji Temple [Timeline] 11am to around noon: Sketch around Zenkoku-ji. Around noon: Meet up again at Zenkoku-ji and join for lunch if you want. Afternoon: Sketch more. Atamiyu, a public bath on a back alley, is highly recommended to draw. *We might change the location depending on the weather on the day. If so, we make announcement on Facebook. 2月の定例スケッチ会は神楽坂で行います。新宿山ノ手七福神の一つ、毘沙門天を祀った善国寺や、込み入った裏路地の坂、階段、かつて芸者さん達がお仕事前に一風呂浴びていったという銭湯の熱海湯など描きどころいっぱいのエリアです。路地裏を歩き回って、気になる景色をスケッチしましょう。 参加されたい方はFacebookのイベントページで

We had sketch meet-up in Shibuya Stream, a newly built modern facility at Shibuya station area. It is quite a sketch-worthy location, so I want to revisit again when it gets much warmer. We spent only two hours, but even such short time, the results show that how interesting point of views we found over there. 今年初のofficialなUrban Sketchers Japanの集まりは渋谷ストリームで行いました。寒かったので予定通り２時間のスケッチでしたが、みんなそれぞれユニークで面白いスケッチのポイントを見つけているな、と思います。私はかっちりした感じを出そうとボールペンと色鉛筆で描いてみました。 We, then visited nearest HUB to have drink and snack, and of course to sketch. This is the 23rd station, Shimada-Jyuku. My wife and I crossed the Oi-gawa river by using a big bridge instead of wading across a river. We went to Shimada-Jyuku form Kanaya-Jyuku. There was an old street named Kawagoe-Iseki-Machinami near the Oigawa river. There were  few  tourists and made it feel like I went into the historical drama. Shimada-Shi museum was next to the embankment. We could know the history of Kawagoe-Ninsoku in considerable detail. By the way, Japanese traditional women’s hairstyle called Shimada-Mage is known for Bunkin-Takashimada started from Shimada-Jyuku. -This is the first time I heard- 第二十三、島田宿です。金谷宿から大井川を 川越人足とではなく、 橋を使って渡り、そのまま島田宿に行きました。大井川の近くに大井川 川越遺跡街並みがあり、当時の街並みが再現されています。観光客も少なく時代劇のなかに入った気持ちになります。堤防の横には島田市博物館があり、かなり詳細に川越人足の歴史を知ることができます。 ちなみに文金高島田などの島田髷はこの島田宿から始まったそうです。（初めて知った！） Next to the museum, There was a big pine tree called  Asagao and an explanatory monument was built. This is the 24th station, Kanaya-Jyuku. My wife and I visited there after Kakegawa-Jyuku. First, we went to the Shin-Kanaya rail station because many tourist information center at a station has  Jyuku information. To my surprise, we could see a steam locomotive. It sounded a whistle and rising smoke. We enjoyed sightseeing. we bought a lunch box and drunk a cup of coffee at the shop. 第二十四。金谷宿です。掛川宿から行きました。多くの宿の案内は駅の観光案内所にあるため、大井川に近い新金谷駅に向かいました。そこでは驚いたことにSLが煙をあげながら汽笛を鳴らしていました。向かいの売店でお弁当を買ったり、駅構内のカフェでコーヒーを飲んだり、しばしの観光を楽しみました。 And then, we walked at the old road for view historic sites and went up to the levee at the Oui-Gawa river. We could see the same view which Hiroshige could see the river. However, there was no water and a big blue iron bridge across the river. そこから旧街道を歩き、途中史跡などを見ながら大井川の堤防に上がりました。そこに見えたのは広重が描いた風景がそのまま残っていました。ただ川の水が全く見えなかったのと、向こう側に水色の鉄橋がかかっていました。  We sketched early and ate Inari-Sushi lunch box at the riverside.
