November is my favorite month. In Tokyo, autumn gets its colors deeper and darker—leaves turning red and yellow, night getting longer. Winter approaches, but it’s still warm enough in the daytime to sketch outside. The weather becomes stable after the typhoon season and now we can walk around to find beautiful autumn views. That’s why I suggested Yanesen (collective name for the three adjoining neighborhoods; Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi) for the month’s meet-up.
