Check it out too. 今回は梅雨の時期のスケッチ会ということでお天気が心配だったのですが、大雨に見舞われた前日から一転、この通り快晴。夏の陽射しがぎらぎら照りつける暑い一日になりました。 Now we are in the middle of the rainy season, so I was worried about the weather for this meet-up. But, as contrasted to the heavy rain of the previous day, it was brilliantly sunny and super hot. 今回訪ねた月島佃島は、隅田川下流のいわゆる下町と呼ばれる地域。午前中はまず月島駅の南側に伸びるもんじゃストリートを中心に月島エリアを散策、スケッチしました。今やもんじゃを売りに観光地化していますが、大通りを一歩入ると昭和的な風情のある細路がまだ残っています。元々は100年ほど前に埋め立てて作られた人工島ですので、隅田川河口～東京湾の景色も見られます。 Tsukishima/Tsukudajima is a so-called shitamachi district of the Sumida River downstream area. In the morning, we explored the Tsukishima side, particularly Monja Street running down to the south from Tsukishima Station.
