We had sketch meet-up in Shibuya Stream, a newly built modern facility at Shibuya station area. It is quite a sketch-worthy location, so I want to revisit again when it gets much warmer. We spent only two hours, but even such short time, the results show that how interesting point of views we found over there. 今年初のofficialなUrban Sketchers Japanの集まりは渋谷ストリームで行いました。寒かったので予定通り２時間のスケッチでしたが、みんなそれぞれユニークで面白いスケッチのポイントを見つけているな、と思います。私はかっちりした感じを出そうとボールペンと色鉛筆で描いてみました。 We, then visited nearest HUB to have drink and snack, and of course to sketch. ここ数年で、度々描いてきた渋谷駅前の光景。最初は一人で。2010年、夜景。 ２度目はRichard Almarが東京に来ていた時。2014年、昼間。 ３度目はJohanna Krimmelと、ハロウィーンの頃、2017年、夜景。 ４度目はStephanie Bowerと、イタリア、ドイツから来ていたゲストスケッチャーも交えての総勢１５名が集まってのスケッチ会で。2018年、夜景。

先週の１０月１０日、渋谷でUSkシアトルのステファニー・バウアーさんを囲んで、夜景スケッチが行われました。ステファニーさんは台中でのUSkアジアリンクに参加してからの東京。お疲れのところ、建築物を遠近法で描くデモを披露してくれました！その時の模様を短いビデオにしてみました。僕はデモには間に合わず、皆さんがスケッチを終えた頃に合流。一緒に食事をして帰路につく前に同じ場所で描きました。 Hi, everyone! We, USk Japan recently had a night sketch outing in Shibuya, with the USk Seattle correspondent Stephanie Bower, who had flew in from USk AsiaLink in Taichung just a few days prior.  She showed us a demo on how to sketch in perspective.  And here's the short video that I made of how it went.  Hope you enjoy it!! 今月は２回スケッチ会があります。 10月10日 にスケッチ会します。今回は街の夜景を描こうという趣旨で、16:00にハチ公で待ち合わせます。 日時：2018年10月10日（水曜日）午後16時　渋谷駅前ハチ公像前集合 場所：渋谷駅周辺 スケッチ会後に夕飯兼飲み会もある予定です。 We have sketch meeting on October 10th at 16:00. meeting location is at Hachiko statue in front of Shibuya station's Hachiko-guchi exit. We meet across the street of Harajuku station ( Omotesando-guchi exit)in front of Gap shop at 11:00 am.

A sketcher friend Johanna from Germany and I went to see what is like Halloween in Shibuya. First, we observed the street view from station passage through the window.There were many people ( as usual ) but not so many who were in their costume yet as of around 18:00 P.M. Then we ventured to dive in the crowd to observe costumers ( although they were still relatively minority compared to people in normal outfit) closely. But I myself found interesting the police car parked aside the street more than walking people, so I sketched it while Johanna captured people so well in the page one by one. That is quite a skill to collect targets and make nice composition at the same time! They roamed on the street and when to find other costumers, they start communicating by taking selfie together, exchanging photos. Still it was early time, they looked a bit shy. It was pretty cold outside, so we sooner evacuated inside a cafeteria where all waiters were young handsome...

Alice, Leonie, Steve, Eriko, and I met up and captured popular Harajyuku station in our sketches. This cute station will be demolished in the near future. We feel sorry that Dave from Munich was supposed to join us that day but we were not able to meet/ find each other... Maybe the meeting location was a bit too crowded by visitors.... Sorry Dave, I hope at least you had fun time during your stay in Tokyo ( except that day.)

それぞれ仕事、勉強、観光で日本に来ていた３名といつものTokyo Sketchersでスケッチ会、プラス飲み会を恵比寿ガーデンプレイスでおこないました。この日はあまり暑くなく心地よい風が吹き、屋外でスケッチも飲み会も楽しめました。皆さんお上手。先日Manchesterで行われたSymposiumから帰ってきたばかりの私でしたが、このくらいの少人数の集まりの方がみんなと話したりそれぞれのスケッチを見て回ったりでき、ゆったりとできてホッとします。しかも影響受けまくり。 パースがすごくデタラメになってしまいました。ムードだけはなんとなく気に入ってます。 Alice, Maria, Arnaudの３名。 ArnaudとChris。

Last Saturday we had a Tokyo Sketchers meet up, initiated by request of Arnie from France and Alice from Indonesia and coordinated by Kumi Matsukawa.  Such a pleasure to draw in a company of co-thinkers!
