仕事の合間に予想外時間が空いた。たまたま通りかかった場所にあった神社。入ってみたらなかなか絵になる佇まいだったので、いっちょスケッチしてみるか？なんて珍しく描き始めた。 相変わらずのノープランで挑む。 少しくらい下描きしたら上手くいくとは思うんだけど、こればっかりは性格なのかな？ヘタでもいいから「描く」という行為のライブ性、その行為自体を楽しみたいンだよね？うまい絵が描きたいんじゃないの！うぉ～、これ行ける？行くの？これでいいの？あ違う！？とか、自分の中であーでもないこーでもないが楽しくて（笑） 最初は枠も描いて、この街灯のポストが入れば全部入るだろう、なんて描き始めたけど、少ししたら狛犬が入らないんじゃね？ってなってやめた。 I unexpectedly found myself with some free time during work. I happened to pass by a shrine, and when I went in, it had quite a picturesque atmosphere, so I thought, why not sketch it? Unusually for me, I started drawing. As always, I'm diving in without a plan. I think it would go better if I did a bit of preliminary sketching, but maybe it's just my nature? I don't care if it's not perfect; I want to enjoy the act of "drawing" live. It's not about creating a perfect picture! It's about the fun of going, "Whoa, can this work? Is this okay? Oh, no, that's not it!" and having that back-and-forth with myself. At firs...

Johanna from Germany whom I've met last summer in Manchester was visiting Japan. We met again in Tokyo. Including fellow sketcher Eriko, we visited Yoyogikoen station area, sketched non-picturesque but somewhat interesting view. Then after lunch before it got dark we sketched near by shrine called Yoyogi-Hachimangu. So lovely to see each and everyone's approach. This was beautiful and tranquil place.

知人の個展を観に行ったついでにスケッチ。ここのところ仕事が忙しいのと雨続きでスケッチ休みがちだったけれど、やはり好きなことに集中できる時間はいいものです。赤城神社の階段の上から、行きかう人を目で追いながら、スケッチしました。

Hi, everyone! How is this hot summer? Struggling without much drawing preparing my exam. I want to share sketch from last summer in Inage district of Chiba. Little shrine with huge trees.  I like crows. ⬆︎ They live in Shrine forest. Moskitos ate my legs while I draw it.  Maybe 2 hours I spent there.  Good time. Hi Everyone! Last week I was honoured to do a practice in Kyoto Imperial gardens as a student of Horticulture department of Chiba University . Oh, basically, we collected old leaves and turned over the stones in the atmosphere temperature 35 C (feels like 38) and humidity 67%. In between I made some sketches about our work and Kyoto.
