Now, We had USkJ Official? New Year Drink & Draw on January 13th, 2020.  Nearly 25 people participated and it ended up being a pretty exciting New Year's Party.  Thank you all for coming and having fun sketching together!! さて、そんなワケで今年の１月１３日（祝月・成人の日）にUSkJ公式？のドリンク＆ドローを開催しました。呼びかけに応え、２５人もの仲間が遊びにきてくれました！参加頂いた皆様、楽しい時間をありがとう！！ We were early so there was still a big table available.  We squeezed and drew like this!  It was juuuust so much fun seeing everyone, drinking and drawing!!  集まった時間も早かったので、大きなテーブルに陣取ってこんな感じ。みんなで顔を突き合わせ、飲みながら描くって、ホンンンンットに楽しい！！ It's another table.   こちらは別のテーブル。　 New members enjoying sketching.  新しいメンバーもきてくれました。 I used a cheap craft paper this time and it was fun drawing on them but watercolor didn't really work as I expected... We had really fun Drink and Draw in the beginning of this year.  It was unofficial and spontaneous but a few of our friends came and had a great time.  Here are some of those fun sketches.   今年のはじめに楽しいドリンク＆ドローをしたのに、スケッチをアップするのを忘れておりました。急な呼びかけにも関わらず数人参加してくれました。 Our new member, Toyoda-san.  He's sketching using his iPad!! Noice!! 新しいメンバーのTさん、iPadで描いてます！！いいね！！ Using my beloved Parallel pen (6.0mm)  大好きなパラレルペンを使って一枚 As you drink more and more... the line becomes more loose and tools get mixed and all... Just like people in the bar... 飲むほどに線がゆるくなり、使う画材も混ざりあう、、、 By the time I drew this, I was feeling pretty good.  I was having fun with direct painting technique and it actually tuned out pretty good, don't you think?!  Everybody who's been to our outing can tell who this person is. これを描く頃にはけっこういい気分で（笑）何の気負いもなく、絵具の直塗りで遊びながら描いた一枚。定例スケッチ会に参加したことのある人なら誰でも分る誰かさん。

Urban Sketchers Japan今年最初のスケッチ会は代官山に集まって、お洒落な街をそれぞれがそれぞれのスタイルと目線でスケッチブックに収めました。 おしゃれな街なんて、都内にはいくらでもありますが、代官山は、まるでジムキャリーが出ていたトゥルーマン・ショーの映画を思い起こさせるような印象があります。リアルな街にしては全てがやけに整いすぎて、いる人も路上で駐車してある車も映画のセットの中のよう！この馴染めない感というかアウェー感をひしひしと感じつつ最初に描いたのがオシャレな路駐の一台、と、そのあたりに現れたオシャレな３人組。（代わる代わる互いを携帯カメラで撮影していたので、自分たちのお店で扱う衣類を実際に着て、instagramか何かに載せるのかな、と思いました） 次にまだ時間があったので、通りをスケッチ。車には詳しくないけれど、向こうから走ってきたのはポルシェってやつ！（その前はビートル） 午後にみんなで集まって全員の作品を並べるべく空き地を探したものの、そこは空き地ではなく企業の所有の敷地なので、集会は困りますと諭されました。（この場でお詫び申し上げます。）なおかつ、他の仲間はある建物を描いていると、その建物には著作権があり、写真撮影もスケッチも禁止であると伝えられたそうです。（敷地内でのスケッチがNG行為とみなされる場所は多々ありますが、その点は全く勉強不足、配慮をしていませんでした！）そんなわけで少し離れた公園を午後の会の集合と写真撮影場所としました。 午後、ランチに時間をたっぷりと使った後、うろつくばかりで、描きどころが見つけられない私は他の皆さんの描いている様子を眺めたりしながら結局集合時間10分前になって、集合場所の公園からみえた景色をなぐりがきスケッチ。この景色でも、奥も手前も、駐車してある車は普段見ることのない車種ばかり！ 皆さんの作品。魅力的なところが沢山！ 白川さん Momokoさん エリコさん Niaさん Caseyさん TETSUさん 細内さん 石井さん Nanaさん 花岡さん 昨年一月から始めた月一の定例スケッチ会、ブログやFacebookでの告知が効果あり（すぎて）なのでしょう、参加人数が増加傾向にありま...

「東海道五十三次、広重と同じ風景が見たい」、今回は第十三宿、原です。沼津から西へ車で10分ほどのところです。広重も湿地と鶴、向こう側に大きく富士山を描いています。 "I sketch the 53 views in Tokaido, which Hiroshige drew”  This is the thirteenth station, Hara-jyuku. It took about 10 minutes by car from Numazu. Hiroshige Utagawa drew this swamp, cranes in the foreground and Mt.fuji in the background.  まず、とりあえず旧東海道を歩き、広重と同じ場所を探しました。しかし、歩けど歩けど、同じような湿地が見えるところはすでに無くなっていましたので、地図で浮島ヶ原という広重も描いた湿地帯を見つけ向かいました。そこはただの沼地でバードウォッチャーが何人かいるだけのところでした。向こう側には山の裾野の部分だけ見せている富士山。早速描き始めました。描き終えようとしたくらいに雲が流れ、隠れていた部分が現れ始めました、ただし本来そこにある山の中腹からそびえる富士の美しい形ではなく、ただのなだらかな形の山でした。はっきり言ってかなり驚きました。 First, while I walked old Tolaido street, I looked for the same place where Hiroshige drew.
