久しぶりに横浜の中華街を訪れました。春節初日のこの日はいつもの中華街の雰囲気よりwelcome感を感じるというか、お店の人も訪れる人もハッピーになりましょうよモードだった感じです。各レストランも定額で様々な種類のメニューが食べられるコースが用意されていて、どこに入るべきか迷うばかり。 夕方には手相占いのお店に行き、いいことばかりを言ってもらえたのも春節ならではのサービスだったのかしら？

News from a Japanese Neighbourhood  Association community center where I am living.  Today I did a sketch on a cardboard. Then Decided to put some paper with glue stick. Application! And added details by crayon pencils and gel pen. I was happy with result. 松戸市、岩瀬自治会館 二階 On the picture: Kotatsu table, which me and Charlie found in University's garbage and bring here.  My accordion. Blue zabuton seats of Iwase.  Old Brother printer, got broken last week.  Calendar for 2017, which I bring from University library.  Book shelf, which we received from local person.  Now we will collect books and toys on this shelf for common use. Took me around 30 mins to do this by mixed technic.  I was also trying to draw by ink brush. It is fast, compare to my usual pencil and watercolor only. 下記の横浜中華街スケッチ（５４ｔｈ　WWSC）で描いたものです。 描くよりも食欲の方が勝っていたような会となりました？ 関帝廟。過剰すぎる装飾に中国らしさを感じます。

１月２８日（土）春節がスタートということで、この日スケッチ会がありました。 総勢５人が横浜・石川町駅に１３時に集合。好天。 まず何はともあれ、重要目的である昼食を何処にするか。 皆中華街はほとんど知らないので適当モードで歩く中、 熱心な呼び込上手の兄さんに誘われ、中くらいの大きさのお店に入り、 いわゆるオーダーバイキングにしました。 安くて結構美味しくお腹一杯に。 凄い数の中華レストランがひしめいている中で恐らく大体皆このレベルを 保持かと思うと、さすがは横浜中華街です。   そしてぼちぼち腹ごなしスケッチ開始。各自持ち時間は一時間半。  集合場所で恒例の道端合同ショット。   私は赤ペンで３枚描きました。  （帰宅して色付け後の絵） 二枚目  （同上）  三枚目 （同上）  その後小さな古びたカフェで反省会とスケッチ。 それから占いの店に入ったり、飛び込んできた獅子舞に頭嚙んで貰ったりと、 なかなか楽しい旅でした。 高田馬場から湘南新宿ライン経由で片道一時間かかったけど、 美味しい食事と大規模中華街見学を兼ねて、また行っても良いかな～。 川村恵理子

I had so many chances to meet sketcher friends from overseas over a few months. What occasion! 年末年始の仕事疲れを落とすべく、相模原市緑区の日帰り温泉、ふじの温泉東尾垂の湯に行ってきました。 入浴前に近くの風景をスケッチですが、早く入浴したくて気もそぞろ。

先月は香港に行きました。大学のことで、 学会 と言います。 ですけど、スケッチはメモをするために一番いい方法と思います。 観光するを忙しくて、あんまり絵を描く時間はなかったんです。 Study trip to Hong Kong for Community Design conference . Sketches for memo. 忘年会 岩瀬自治会 のお年寄りの人と話しながら、スケッチした。 最初は怖かったけど、どんどん丈夫になった。 なぜか私ここにいるのか？ なぜか私こんなおかしいことをやるのか？ このような質問はいつも頭の中にまわしている。 自分の落ち着いている場所を作り、スケッチブックの中です。 紙の鏡に映し、友達になれる。 みんな様の顔を描きたい。全地域の画像。ちょっと時間を与えて、周りの人を認識する。 いつも、ありがとう（＾O＾）！    In Japan, "End of the Year" (Bounenkai) Party is held in December.    Local people meet, eat and discuss what is happened, forgetting and forgiving bad things happened. On this party I drew portraits of people from Neighbourhood Association, in which building I'm living.    Felt scared to start drawing people in front of me, but it is the best way for me to feel comfortable, communicating by pictures.     In the end they were happy and I get to know them better. I'm planning to draw portraits of all Neighbourhood Association people. It is the way discover every person. Always thankful to them for accepting me in a neighbourhood :)

これから 住んでいるところ 岩瀬自治会館の二階には船が置いてある！ 誰から来た、その船団？ 子供の頃読んだ本 を思い出す、小さな世界。 この船は区に住む湯浅浩さんという方からです。 引っ越すのデ置く場所がないために2隻を自治会に寄付してくれた。 There are two ships now in the place where I live . When I see them, I remember a story from childhood, a book about boy, who wanted to meet little people on the ship .  He stayed at  his grandmother’s house during vacation. She has a beautiful model of ship, it was her precious memory. Boy see it and his interest is growing day by day, since grandmother prohibit to touch the ship. He imagine small people inhabit the ship and try to  catch them, lure out by sweets, all in vain... These two ships came to neighborhood association building from local person Hiroshi Yuasa, who is moving to other area. He want to give something to this community, which will keep a good memory.  He put inside the glass box semiprecious stone and coral, on both sides of ship. 

What is to live in Japanese neighborhood association ? Orchestra musicians make a rehearsal in your bedroom. 自治会館に住む の生活といえば、音楽者は住むの部屋で演奏することだ! Had such a lucky chance to hear them playing and make sketches! 聞いてくれてとても嬉しかった！ This is the rehearsal of the concert for cultural Festival in Iwase. 岩瀬自治会 文化祭のためにのコンサートでした。 They improvised Katusha and Tchaikovsky for me, when get to know that I'm Russian （^^） 彼らは私がロシア人であることを知ると、カチューシャとチャイコフスキーを即興で演奏しました！ Couldn't finish cello at the time! Musicians, who played in Iwase neighborhood association, where I live, is from Chiba New Town Philharmonic Orchestra. Grateful to them. ほんとに、どうもありがとうございました！
